Mina the Hollower

I was kind of scared of this release. I played the demo last year and was left pretty disappointed. Especially directly after playing the excellent Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo.

I’m glad I still gave it a chance because this game was great. Very gloomy in it’s presentation, great story, very fun to explore and very fun to hunt secrets. Took me just over 20 hours to beat and I was not tired of it, which is something because I tend to get bored of games that are too long. 10-12 hours usually seems like the sweet spot for me.

007 First Light

Never was interested in the stealth genre but I bought this anyways because it’s James Bond and I wanted to see the cameos, instead I got served with jacksepticeye and shroud.

Aside from that, it was still pretty good and I would lie if I said it didn’t feel like a James Bond movie because it definitely did.

Mixtape

I have absolutely no interest in dialogue-driven games and yet I bought this solely because the trailer convinced me that this game might have the best soundtrack I have ever heard in any video game ever. Turns out that wasn’t true but it was still pretty good. However I’m not regretting my purchase as this might be one of the best ‘games’ I have ever played. There’s definitely a recency bias so I’d have to come back later to think about it.

This isn’t much of a video game, it’s more of a movie with occasional input presses. But yet it’s amazing. Clocking at just 3 hours, you’d be doing yourself a disservice by missing out. This made me nostalgic for an era that I was never apart of.
